Diatom paper with.
Manufactured with a mixture of cellulose fibers and diatomaceus earth (diatomaceous algae), whose main property is its microporous structure, with pores of up to 0.5 μm.
It is especially recommended in the filtration of samples that must be analyzed by spectrophotometry, filtration of samples of clay, oxides of Cu, samples of proteins, and generally any sample with very fine particles that can cause the premature fill-up of a convencional filter paper.

Paper separator of phases.
Made with linters of cotton and noble cellulose soaked in a type of stabilized hydrophobic silicone that allows the separation of mixed samples, that is, formed by an aqueous phase and an organic phase.
Its use is specially indicated in the separation of samples of aqueous phases and petroleum, ether, chlorofom, oils, filtration of solvents for estraction, separation of emulsions, etc.

Was developed bases on a mixture of noble cellulose and active carbon. Is specially indicated in the filtration of turbid samples such as those of urine for the determination of sugar. Is also used for capturing radioactive ions in atmospheres close to nuclear power stations.
